Osimhen’s Hat-Trick Helps Nigeria Crush Sao Tome in Qualifying Match

Victor Osimhen’s exceptional performance, including a hat trick, contributed to Nigeria’s dominant 6-0 victory over São Tomé and Príncipe in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

With goals also scored by Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Samuel Chukwueze, the Super Eagles showcased their prowess on the field.

Osimhen’s hat trick propelled him to become Nigeria’s fourth all-time leading goal scorer, with a total of 20 goals.

As he continues to excel, Osimhen has his sights set on breaking the national record of 37 goals set by the legendary Rashidi Yekini.

However, he must first surpass Segun Odegbami, who scored 23 goals, and Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who recorded 21 goals for the national team.
