Napoli have announced Victor Osimhen will be sidelined for three months after the striker went under the knife on Tuesday.
Osimhen suffered multiple face fractures following a clash of heads with Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar in Sunday’s Serie A clash at the Stadio Guiseppe Meaza.
The Parthenopeans confirmed on Tuesday that the surgery was successful and Osimhen will be out for 90 days.
“On Tuesday morning, Victor Osimhen was operated on his cheekbone and eye socket by Gianpaolo Tartaro, who was assisted by Dr Mario Santagata with Dr Raffaele Canonico also present,”reads a statement on the club’s website.
“Titanium plates and screws were used in the operation.
