Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, believes Nigeria is capable of winning the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in Cameroon.
Oliseh made this known when he visited the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, where he said that the Super Eagles should not be written off.
Recall that Nigeria has pitted in Group D alongside Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.
Oliseh said, “Nigeria should not be written off as regards winning the AFCON because we have the talent to win the trophy.
“Nigerians should stop underrating our team. We are one of the favourites to win the trophy.”
He added, “The players must rise to the occasion, and with little luck, they are capable of winning and making Nigeria proud. Don’t write the Eagles off.”
The AFCON 2021 is scheduled to run from 9 January to 6 February 2022.
