According to reports from the French media, which claims that Covid-19 new Omicron variant could lead CAF to cancel the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations.

The report added that English Premier League clubs would like to keep their players, as those called up have to undergo quarantine upon their return to the United Kingdom, which would deprive clubs of their players for a longer period.
