2023 WWC: Gusau Urges Super Falcons To Remain Focused

NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau has expressed satisfaction with the results of senior female national team, Super Falcons in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup holding in New Zealand and Australia.

Gusau said against all odds, beaten the host and one of the world’s favourites 3-2 in their second match is worth celebrating.

He also warned that the girls should not underrate any team in the group especially Republic of Iceland in their last game.

“The girls have made us happy. First time in months now Nigerians are talking about the team away from current economic reality.

“I have sent words to them to be focus. I believe that with determination and focus our girls can make a very big impact like Morocco did at the FIFA men’s World Cup held in Qatar,” Gusau said.

He further stated that he was working round the clock to ensure the their entitlements are paid as at when due.

So far, Super Falcons have played two matches drew 1 – 1 in their opener against Canada and 3 – 2 win against Australia .
