The South Korean Football Association announced on Monday that Jürgen Klinsmann will be taking over as the team’s national head coach.

Klinsmann, 58, is a former German football striker who won the World Cup in 1990 and has experience coaching Germany (2004-2006), the United States (2011-2016), Bayern Munich (2008-2009) and Hertha Berlin (2019-2020).

He has signed a contract to stay in Korea until 2026 when the World Cup will be hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.
