Arsenal have reportedly identified Gabri Veiga of Celta Vigo as their target signing this summer, with Manchester United and Newcastle United also interested in the 20-year-old midfielder.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Celta Vigo are anticipating a large sale for Veiga, which may be around €30 million (£26.5 million).
The Galician footballer has had a superb season so far, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 21 La Liga games.
His ability to contribute in the final third has drawn much praise from his coach Carlos Carvalhal, and he even earned a call-up to Spain’s Under-21 squad recently.
With Mikel Arteta being from the same country as Veiga, it is believed that Arsenal have taken a special interest in signing him.
Competition is fierce though, with both Manchester United and Newcastle showing an interest too.
If everything goes well for the Gunners, they could end up with two top Spanish talents in North London by the end of the transfer window.
