Arsenal are close to agreeing on a long-term deal with the 21-year-old wonderkid, Bukayo Saka.
The Londoners currently sit atop the Premier League table and have also been hard at work tying down some of their star players to extended contracts, with Gabriel Martinelli already reaping such rewards.
Saka’s sparkling form over the past few years has caught the eye of top European clubs, however, it seems he is likely to put pen to paper for Arsenal.
Reports suggest that the English international will be set for a salary in excess of £10m per year.
Saka has contributed an impressive 33 goals and 37 assists from 162 appearances – 50 of those coming in the Premier League alone – so his loyalty certainly won’t be taken for granted by Gunners fans.
Furthermore, having featured four times in England’s run to the World Cup quarterfinals, scoring three times in total – Arsenal can look forward to seeing many more outstanding performances from the winger once his future is secure.
Along with Saka and Martinelli, Granit Xhaka could soon be offered a similar new deal, as his contract also runs out in 2024.
