Work Permit Delay Could stop Onuachu’s Premier League Debut at Southampton
Paul Onuachu and Kamaldeen Sulemana were set to make their Southampton debuts against Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday (today).
However, their debut have been delayed as both players have yet to receive their UK work permits from the British Home Office.
As a result, neither of them is eligible for selection in the Premier League.
Manager Nathan Jones stated that they can keep asking for clarification but until the work permits come through, neither will be able to be involved with the club.
This situation has caused an unfortunate delay in Southampton who are currently last placed in the league table.
