Transfer news: Tottenham and Chelsea battle for Ansu Fati signing

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are both vying for the signing of Ansu Fati from Barcelona. Tottenham has initiated direct contact with Barcelona to negotiate a loan deal for Fati, but there is a possibility that Chelsea could swoop in and hijack the move.

Both clubs are looking to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is particularly keen on signing a versatile forward who can play as a winger or a number 10.

Several players, including Rayan Cherki, Bradley Barcola, Jadon Sancho, Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Jamal Musiala, have been linked with moves to Chelsea.

Barcelona, in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, is considering selling or loaning out Fati this summer.

His departure would allow the club to pursue a deal for Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham has entered talks with Barcelona for a season-long loan switch for Fati, but negotiations are still ongoing regarding the conditions of the deal.

Barcelona is insisting on having 100 percent of the player’s salary covered.

On the other hand, Chelsea has not made a formal approach yet but may have an advantage in being able to pay Fati’s full salary for the season.

In addition to their pursuit of Fati, Tottenham is also interested in signing Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest before the transfer window closes.

However, Forest has set a high asking price of £50 million for the Wales international. Chelsea had previously shown interest in Johnson but has since cooled their interest.

Fati, a 20-year-old forward from Spain, can play in various positions across the forward line and had a productive season last year with 10 goals and four assists in 51 appearances.

While his contract with Barcelona is set to expire in 2027, Fati has expressed his desire to stay at Camp Nou for many years.
