Balogun copped an injury in Rangers’ League Cup defeat to Hibernian last weekend.

The centre-back was replaced by his international teammate Calvin Bassey 10 minutes from time.

The 33-year-old missed Thursday night’s Europa League home win against Sparta Prague as a result of the setback.

“We had no injuries yesterday and the players had a normal recovery today. So we will have the same players for Sunday. Roofe and Balogun will not be ready to play. Hopefully, Roofe (will be back) sooner than Balogun,” Rangers new manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst told a press conference.

The Nigeria international has made 11 league appearances for Rangers this season.
