Paris Saint-Germain is facing the challenge of finding a suitable replacement for superstar Kylian Mbappe, who has announced his departure from the club at the end of the season.

According to reports, PSG is considering Osimhen, along with other stars, to bolster their attacking options.

Luis Enrique, PSG’s manager, is keen on securing a striker ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, and Osimhen has emerged as one of their top targets.

Osimhen, who currently plays for Napoli in Serie A, signed a new contract with the Italian club last year, extending his stay until 2026.

The deal includes a significant release clause of around £112 million.

With the financial burden of Mbappe’s wages off their books, PSG has the resources to potentially outbid Chelsea for Osimhen’s services.

The 25-year-old Nigerian forward has already made a decision about his future and is expected to leave Napoli this summer.

Despite Napoli’s disappointing season, Osimhen played a pivotal role in their title-winning campaign last year, netting 26 goals in 32 appearances.

While Osimhen’s contract with Napoli runs until 2026, PSG’s interest could prompt a potential transfer.

Chelsea, on the other hand, may face financial fair play issues that could limit their ability to compete for Osimhen’s signature.

Both clubs would benefit from the addition of the talented striker, given his scoring prowess and proven track record.

It remains to be seen whether Osimhen’s future lies at PSG or if Chelsea can make a compelling offer to secure his services.
