Former goalkeeper and media officer of the Super Eagles, Pêtêrside Idah, has said that a coach from Eastern Europe has been contacted for the Super Eagles job.

Pêtêrside, while featuring on Soccer Africa revealed that the Nigerian Football Federation have identified a coach who will likely take over from Rohr who have come under heavy criticisms following Nigeria’s lacklustre performances in recent matches.

“They have contacted a coach from Eastern Europe to take over from Rohr,”

“I know the coach, but they have not given me permission to announce the man.” The former Super Eagles goalkeeper and media officer Pêtêrside Idah said on Soccer Africa.

It is reported that Rohr and the Federation are at loggerheads over his compensation fee and if no compromise is reached between Rohr’s representatives and the NFF, Rohr might remain on the job for a longer period.

Rohr, 68, was appointed in 2016 and has fulfilled all clauses stipulated in his contract with the latest being the qualification into the FIFA World Cup play-offs.
