NPFL New Season Kick-Off Delayed Once More

The start of the 2023/24 Nigeria Professional Football League season has been delayed once again.

The Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL board, Davidson Owumi, announced the postponement in a letter.

The season was originally set to begin on August 26 but was later pushed back to September 9.

The new kick-off date will be announced at a later time.

The opening fixture between Shooting Stars and Plateau United, which was scheduled for this weekend, will be rescheduled.

Enyimba currently holds the title of NPFL champions.
