In the latest FIFA Coca-Cola women’s world ranking, Nigeria’s Super Falcons have made a significant jump from 40th to 32nd place.

This rise in ranking comes after their impressive performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Despite being the lowest-ranked team in their group, the Falcons finished second behind Australia and reached the round of 16.

Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the first knockout stage after a penalty shootout against England.

Nevertheless, their performance earned them the title of the 10th best team of the tournament.

Other African representatives, South Africa, Morocco, and Zambia, also saw improvements in their rankings.

South Africa climbed nine places to 45th, Morocco jumped 14 places to 58th, and Zambia moved to 69th.

Sweden, who finished third in the World Cup, now sits at the top of the rankings, dethroning the USA.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola women’s world ranking will be published on December 15, 2023.
