Tottenham star Sergio Reguilon is set to make a surprise transfer to Manchester United.
Spurs have given the defender permission to travel to Manchester for a medical ahead of his loan move.
United turned to Reguilon after their pursuit of Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella fell through.
The left-back position has become a priority for United due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Reguilon, who joined Tottenham from Real Madrid in 2020, spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid.
While other left-backs were linked, Reguilon is now their top target.
United manager Erik ten Hag is also hoping to add Sofyan Amrabat to his squad before the transfer deadline.
The club had considered a loan for Fiorentina midfielder Amrabat, with the possibility of a permanent transfer next summer.
Despite interest from other clubs, Amrabat has been holding out for a move to Old Trafford and a reunion with Ten Hag, his former manager at Utrecht.
