Liverpool preparing to make official bid for Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze
Liverpool are reportedly looking to compete in the upcoming January transfer window with an official bid for highly-rated Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.
The Anfield club have already sealed a move for Dutch forward Cody Gakpo and are hoping to bolster their attack line further with the Nigerian attacker who rose to prominence at the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile.
Reports suggest that Liverpool are keen on bringing Chukwueze to England and his potential arrival can be seen as a long term successor to Egyptian talisman Mo Salah.
However, they may face a stiff competition from other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Everton, and West Ham who are interested in acquiring the 2021 UEFA Europa League winner’s services.
It is understood that it would take approximately €50m to convince Villarreal to part ways with their prized asset whose market value is currently €20m.
