Confluence Queens F.C.

The Lokoja based club is also known as Wada Queens or Kogi Confluence Queens. They were founded on 12th February 1993 by David Ayo Owolabi. However, in 2006, former Governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris took over the administrative control of the team. Mallam Abdul Sule is the Chairman of the club while Tosin Ojo is their Manager. They use the 25,000 capacity Confluence Stadium in Lokoja as their home base stadium. The club’s Nickname is more like a motto: Respect All Fear None.

Delta Queens was founded in the year 2000 in January by former Governor James Ibori and till date, it is still owned by the Government of Delta State. Between the years 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, they have emerged champions of the Nigerian Women’s Cup. They have also won the Nigeria Women Premier League four times so far: 2003, 2008, 2009 and 2011. They use the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba for their home games.

The Government of Edo State owns and manage the club and the least paid Edo Queens Football Club player earns more than ₦150, 000 a month as salary, aside from other bonuses and allowances. The club came fourth in the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership with 23 points after 13 matches. Osun Babes F.C.

Osun Babes F.C. Osun Babes Football Club of Osogbo was founded as Comfort Queens F.C. in 1995 during the military rule of Anthony Udofia but was later renamed to FSP Obi Babes F.C. The club was disbanded in the year 2000. It took the then governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola to reestablish the female football club in 2004 and had to rename it as Oyinlola Queens. The name was however later changed to Osun Babes by Governor Rauf Aregbesola in 2011. The likes of Onome Ebi, Ayisat Yusuf, Tawa Ishola, Josephine Chukwunonye, Ukaonu Onyinye and Christy Ohiaeriaku are some of the notable players the club has produced over time. Their home games are often played at Oshogbo Stadium.

Pelican Stars F.C.

Pelican Stars Football Club of Calabar was founded in the year 1990 and is owned and controlled by the Government of Cross River State. The current Manager of the club is Adat Egan. Chinwendu Ihezuo is one of the former notable players of the club. They play their home games at the U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State.

Sunshine Queens F.C.

Sunshine Queens Football Club was founded in 2005. They play their home games at their 15,000 capacity Akure Township Stadium in Akure, Nigeria. They are nicknamed The ‘Owena Marmaids’. They won the Nigerian Women’s Cup in 2015. Their President is Akinsola Elvis Akinbobola.
