Abia Angels F.C.

Adamawa Queens F.C.

Adamawa Queens F.C. is a Female football club sponsored by the Government of Adamawa State and currently plays in the Nigeria Women Premier League.

Bayelsa Queens F.C.

Former governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was the one who founded Bayelsa Queens in the year 2000. The club is owned by the Bayelsa State Government. They play in women’s football in Nigeria. In the years 2004, 2006 and 2007 they won the Nigeria Women Premier League. They also won the AITEO CUP in 2021. Bayelsa Queens’ nickname is The Restoration Girls.

DreamStar F.C. Ladies

They used to be known as Dream Stars Ladies before their change of name to DreamStar FC Ladies. The club was founded on February 29th, 2012 and is owned by Dream Stars Sports Development Organisation. The Chairman of the Surulere based club is AbdulRahmon Abolore while their Manager is Sheriff Tajudeen. They are a member of the Nigerian Women Football League (NWFL). Their stadium is the Agege Stadium. They currently compete in the Nigeria Women Premier League. The club’s nickname is The Galacticas.

Confluence Queens F.C.

The Lokoja based club is also known as Wada Queens or Kogi Confluence Queens. They were founded on 12th February 1993 by David Ayo Owolabi. However, in 2006, former Governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris took over the administrative control of the team. Mallam Abdul Sule is the Chairman of the club while Tosin Ojo is their Manager. They use the 25,000 capacity Confluence Stadium in Lokoja as their home base stadium. The club’s Nickname is more like a motto: Respect All Fear None.

Delta Queens F.C.

Delta Queens was founded in the year 2000 in January by former Governor James Ibori and till date, it is still owned by the Government of Delta State. Between the years 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, they have emerged champions of the Nigerian Women’s Cup. They have also won the Nigeria Women Premier League four times so far: 2003, 2008, 2009 and 2011. They use the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba for their home games.

Edo Queens F.C.

The Government of Edo State owns and manage the club and the least paid Edo Queens Football Club player earns more than ₦150, 000 a month as salary, aside from other bonuses and allowances. Governor Godwin Obaseki did this to achieve equal salary and emoluments for both men and women players of Edo State football clubs. The club came fourth in the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership with 23 points after 13 matches. Edo Queens used to be known as Inneh Queens as far back as 2002/2003 and was managed and bankrolled by late Chief Sunny Eghaghe Inneh.

F.C. Robo Queens

The privately-owned Mushin based professional football club in Lagos is the one that produced the likes of two-time African footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Sunday. The club is owned by FC Robo International and was founded on 19th April 1999. It is being managed by Emmanuel Osahon. They play their home games at the 3,000 capacity FIFA Goal Project (Legacy) turf at the National Stadium in Lagos.

Ibom Angels F.C.

Ibom Angels Football Club is a professional football club in Nigeria that plays in the National Women League. The Club is owned and sponsored by the Akwa Ibom State Government. Nasarawa Amazons F.C.

The Lafia based female football club was founded in the year 2000 by the Nasarawa State government. In 2013and 2017 they were winners of the Nigeria Women Premier League. They became runners-up thrice in 2006, 2007 and 2016. They were also champions of the Nigerian Women’s Cup in 2005 and 2019. Anam Imo, Mariam Ibrahim, Chinaza Uchendu, Amarachi Okoronkwo, Sarah Nnodim and Christy Ucheibe are all some of their notable players. Their current Manager is Christopher Danjuma. They play their home games at the Lafia Township Stadium. Nasarawa Amazons’ nickname is Solid Babes.

Osun Babes F.C.

Osun Babes F.C. Osun Babes Football Club of Osogbo was founded as Comfort Queens F.C. in 1995 during the military rule of Anthony Udofia but was later renamed to FSP Obi Babes F.C. The club was disbanded in the year 2000. It took the then governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola to reestablish the female football club in 2004 and had to rename it as Oyinlola Queens. The name was however later changed to Osun Babes by Governor Rauf Aregbesola in 2011. The likes of Onome Ebi, Ayisat Yusuf, Tawa Ishola, Josephine Chukwunonye, Ukaonu Onyinye and Christy Ohiaeriaku are some of the notable players the club has produced over time. Their home games are often played at Oshogbo Stadium.

Pelican Stars F.C.

Pelican Stars Football Club of Calabar was founded in the year 1990 and is owned and controlled by the Government of Cross River State. The current Manager of the club is Adat Egan. Chinwendu Ihezuo is one of the former notable players of the club. They play their home games at the U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State.

Rivers Angels F.C.

Rivers Angels Football Club was founded in 1986 by Prince Lawrence Ezeh but was using the name Larry Angels F.C. at that time. And by 1991, the first lady of Rivers State, Mrs Abbe, took control of the club. Their Manager now is Edwin Okon. Chioma Ajunwa, who was the captain of the club between 1988–90, is one of the notable people to have played for the club. Others are Florence Ajayi, Ebere Orji, Francisca Ordega, Ulunma Jerome, Ayisat Yusuf, Gloria Chinasa, Stella Mbachu, Uche Eucharia, Asisat Oshoala, Cathy Bou Ndjouh, Evelyn Nwabuoku, Stella Mbachu, Ngozi Ebere, and Elizabeth Addo. They’ve won the Nigerian Women’s Championship seven times in 2020–21, 2019, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2010 and 1994. Also, they have won the Nigerian Women’s Cup in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010.

Sunshine Queens F.C.

Sunshine Queens Football Club was founded in 2005. They play their home games at their 15,000 capacity Akure Township Stadium in Akure, Nigeria. They are nicknamed The ‘Owena Marmaids’. They won the Nigerian Women’s Cup in 2015. Their President is Akinsola Elvis Akinbobola.
