According to Recent Reports, Paul Pogba, the former Manchester United and current Juventus midfielder, has been handed a four-year ban from football due to doping offences.

The ban comes after Pogba tested positive for a banned substance, testosterone, following a match against Udinese on August 20, 2023.

Pogba, who turns 31 in March, may face the end of his football career as a result of this lengthy ban.

The France World Cup winner had been on the bench for the entire Udinese game and made substitute appearances in subsequent matches against Bologna and Empoli.

However, he has not played since.

Pogba’s lawyers claimed that the positive test was a result of accidental ingestion of the substance.

Despite this defense, the prosecution did not believe their version of events.

Pogba’s lawyers rejected a plea deal that could have potentially reduced the ban, leading to the acceptance of the four-year suspension.

This ban not only affects Pogba personally but also has consequences for the French national team.

Pogba will be unable to participate in Euro 2024, which is a significant blow to France.
