Fabio Capello, the former England manager, has expressed his thoughts on Victor Osimhen’s nomination for the 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or and The Best FIFA awards.
Osimhen, a Nigerian international, has been nominated for both awards and Capello believes he deserves the recognition.
Capello stated that he would have been surprised if Osimhen hadn’t been included in the international awards, as he considers him to be one of the top three centre-forwards.
Capello also praised Napoli for keeping Osimhen close, acknowledging his significant contribution to the team’s Scudetto success last season, where he scored 26 goals in 32 league appearances.
