Despite their recent defeat, Bayern Munich has decided not to sack manager Thomas Tuchel before their upcoming Champions League quarter-final tie against Arsenal.
The Bundesliga champions suffered a disappointing loss, throwing away a two-goal lead to Heindeheim.
This defeat has put Bayer Leverkusen in a position to secure the championship if they win one more game.
Although Tuchel’s departure at the end of the season has already been confirmed, there was a possibility that Bayern could have fired him before then.
However, the club’s directors have chosen not to take this action, as confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano tweeted, “Bayern will not sack Thomas Tuchel with immediate effect despite today’s defeat. Both directors Freund and Eberl have confirmed that Tuchel will regularly sit on Bayern’s bench against Arsenal.”
