On October 14th, 1992, Musa was born to Alhaji Musa and Sarah Moses in Jos plateau state.

Before the birth of Ahmed Musa, his parents already had four daughters, making Musa the last child and only son.

His family is a multi-religious type as his father is a Muslim who married Musa’s Christian mother as his second wife.

Musa’s father, Alhaji Musa, is from Borno state, while his mother, Sarah Moses, is from Edo State.

Alhaji Musa died when his son was only seven years old, and this led to his mother raising him and his four sisters single-handedly in Edo State.

Sarah once told Sporting Life that raising her children with her husband by her side if he was alive would have made it easier for her as Alhaji Musa was a generous and kind man who took care of all his wives.

Musa began to carve his way at an early age as a footballer and would join different local teams throughout different stages of his life.

Despite being from a country where the chances of making it as a top footballer were low, Musa often acclaimed that he would be a star.

His first real breakthrough to becoming a proper footballer was when Kano Pillars signed him.

He performed excellently as a player and from there attracted clubs on the international scene.

Musa was formerly married to Jamila Musa, and the union produced two children: Ahmed Musa Jnr, a boy born in 2013, and Halima Musa, a girl born in 2015.

Barely two years after the birth of Halima, their second child, the couple had some disagreements regarding Ahmed Musa’s intention to marry a second wife.

Ahmed Musa posted a picture of his intended second wife and girlfriend Juliet and referred to her as his queen.

In response to the post, Jamila was extremely upset and had series of altercations with her husband in Countesthorpe Leicester.

She later filed a police report against him on domestic violence which led to his arrest.

Musa was released without any charges the same week of his arrest after no evidence was found on him.

The situation worsened their relationship, and the couple decided to file a divorce with claims of irreconcilable differences.

After his arrest, some of his neighbors addressed newsmen on the issue.

One of his neighbors who lived close to his apartment said he has never heard any noise from Musa’s apartment, and he wasn’t aware of his arrest.

Another neighbor described Musa as a nice guy who always had a friendly smile but kept his life private.

A Nigerian man who knows Musa very well said he is a good guy who doesn’t smoke, drinks, party, and has never gotten into any trouble that involved the police. He also concluded by saying that Musa cannot hurt anyone.

After finalizing his divorce from Jamila, Ahmed Musa finally married Juliet.

The couple had their introduction in Juliet’s hometown in Cross River State on March 25th, 2017, and had their wedding on July 1st, 2017.

After his marriage to his second wife, many people criticized Ahmed Musa’s decision, forcing him to address the issue.
