Manchester United Set To Resume Training After Covid-19 Outbreak

Manchester United’s players are expected to return to training at their Carrington complex on Wednesday, after Covid-19 outbreak ruled out their game against Brentford.

The Red Devils shut the first team section of their training ground on Monday after a rise in coronavirus cases on Monday.

Rangnick’s team has been tested again and player who return negative tests will be able to resume training today ahead of their Sunday tie against Brighton at Old Trafford.

In the latest round of coronavirus testing, 42 Premier League players and staff tested positive in what was the highest recorded number in the league in seven day since testing began in May 2020.

While United is expected to resume training today, clubs like Brighton, Leicester City, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspurs and Norwich City also faces coronavirus outbreak in the team.

While the league has introduce a new coronavirus measures in England to limit the spread of Omicron variant, the clubs have been told to return to the emergency measures which includes social distancing and wearing of masks.
