Super Eagles head coach Augustine Eguavoen has revealed that he would select his players from Rohr’s 40 man provisional list for Nigeria’s outing at African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The African Cup of Nations billed to commence in January, with participating teams expected to release their squad list for the tournament anytime soon.
Before the German coach was sacked, he confirmed in an interview with the media that he had sent a 40 man provisional list to CAF in November, and with Eguavoen now in charge he would be responsible in naming the squad.
“The list is out, and we’ve talked about it. The list goes to CAF, so it is from there we are going to see how we get the details back home.”
“So it is from that we are going to pick the players, the list Gernot Rohr submitted.”
The Super Eagles would face the likes of Egypt, Suden and Guinea-Bissau in the group stages of the tournament.
