The Super Eagles regained control in Group A of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after edging past the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau 1-0 on Monday night.

Substitute Joe Aribo had a superb shot saved by Mendes two minutes later.

The West Africans will travel away to Sierra Leone for their game in the qualifiers on Sunday, June 11, 2023.
