2023 AFCONQ: Super Eagles Must Be Clinical Vs Guinea-Bissau – Peseiro
Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has declared that his players must be clinical in front of goal if they must avenge their defeat to the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.
The Djurtus stunned the Super Eagles by claiming a famous 1-0 victory in the first first at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja last week Friday.
The Super Eagles created a number of clear cut chances in the game but were let down by their poor marksmanship.
Both teams will clash again in the reverse fixture on Monday (today) with the three-time African champions desperate to get back to winning ways again.
Peseiro once again admitted that his players did well in the game but claimed it is important they convert their chances.

“I gave my opinion after the first match. I watched the video again yesterday and our team missed a lot of chances. The strikers missed a lot of chances,” Peseiro told a press conference.
” The performance was not bad but we need to score goals. That’s the most important thing. It is not normal when a team like us missed too many chances like we did on Friday.
*We moved the ball well, played offensively too and shoot the ball well. I think it is better yuu create opportunities than not.
“I want my team to do the same but avoid mistakes. We made too many mistakes in the first game.
“It’s important for us to be clinical in front of goal, to finish well when we have the chances.”
The encounter billed for the September 24 Stadium will kick-off at 5pm Nigeria time.
