2023 AFCONQ: Peseiro Rests Duru, Nwachukwu In First Training

The duo of Ebube Duru and Divine Nwachukwu were exempted from training on Monday as the Super Eagles started preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.

Duru and Nwachukwu featured for Rivers United and Bendel Insurance at the just concluded Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs.

They were both in action for their respective clubs on Sunday.

The two other home-based stars; Ojo Olorunleke and Victor Sochima were however part of the training.

20 players took part in training session held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze and Bright Osayi-Samuel are still being expected in camp.

The game will hold at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia on Sunday.
