Why Genk Signed Paul Onuachu’s Replacement, Tolu Arokodare

KRC Genk’s Head of Football, Dimitri De Condé has explained the reasoning behind signing Nigerian attacker Tolu Arokodare to replace Paul Onuachu.

According to De Condé, Arokodare was chosen due to his physical ability and scoring expertise.

The Nigerian international impressed with 16 goals in 19 league matches for Genk during the 2022-23 season, totaling 73 goals in his four years at Luminus Arena.

After careful consideration, Arokokode became the best replacement choice for the Belgian club leaders.

Upon joining the team with a 4-and-a-half-year deal, he will look to build on his existing talent under KRC Genk’s coaching staff.

Though there is no confirmation yet of whether Arokokode will be included in their upcoming match against Eupen or Gent, he is certainly one to watch this season.
