Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti is set to join Al Arabi in Qatar after failed attempts by Liverpool and Manchester United to sign him.
Verratti, who has been with PSG since 2012, has been a key player for the team but is not part of the long-term plans of manager Luis Enrique.
As a result, he was allowed to negotiate with other clubs, including Chelsea.
Initially, there were talks of a move to Saudi Arabia, but a deal could not be reached.
Now, it seems that Verratti will be completing a transfer to Al Arabi in Qatar, with reports suggesting that a verbal agreement has been sealed and a fee of €45m has been agreed upon.
This transfer comes as a notable addition to the Qatar Stars League, which has seen an influx of talent to Saudi Arabia in recent months.
Al Arabi finished second last season and will be hoping to improve their performance in the upcoming season.
