UEFA has announced that Luka Modric’s Croatia and the Netherlands will go head-to-head in a Nations League semi-final match on 14th June.
The two countries, accompanied by Italy and Spain, competed against each other in their respective League A group matches last year and in the FIFA World Cup.
Both semi-finals will take place at Dutch grounds – Rotterdam’s Feijenoord and FC Twente Stadion in Enschede.
After failing to win against Portugal in 2019, the Dutch team is going all out for home ground advantage.
On the Spanish side are several Barcelona football players, such as Eric Garcia, Jordi Alba, Pedri, Gavi, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Alejandro Balde.
As Croatia returns to international competition after their third place win at the World Cup, they are led by veteran midfielder Modric.
Italy is looking to redeem itself after coming third in 2021 and missing the World Cup under new coach Luis de la Fuente.
They will also be facing a tough opponent – Netherlands with Ronald Koeman as coach.
