UEFA Conference League: Ndidi on target as Leicester spank Randers

Wilfred Ndidi got on the scoresheet for Leicester in their 4-1 bashing of a Stephen Odey-less Randers side during their round of sixteen UEFA Europa Conference League clash.

The Super Eagles midfield general whose goal heralded the floodgates fired the hosts ahead from a close range with the assist from Super Eagles bound Ademola Lookman.

The Brendan Rodgers side who are undefeated in three European home matches this season never reneged on their brilliant performance on the night.

The Foxes, despite conceding before the end of the first forty-five upped the ante in the second half and would go on to score to goals in succession through Harvey Barnes and Patson Daka in the forty-ninth and fifty-five minutes respectively.

Later on in the highly entertaining match, Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, was brought om board to replace Patson Daka in the sixty-fourth minute, with the Foxes’ opener scorer, Wilfred Ndidi also making way for James Maddison.

Dewsbury Hall added a fourth late on from close range, again, assisted by Ademola Lookman, and it was nothing short of underserved after his earlier saved attempts.

The Foxes who have now only lost one of their last 14 European home matches already have a sturdy base to build on in the second leg in Denmark next week.
