Triple Injury Dampens Manchester United’s Hopes Ahead Of Leeds & Barcelona Fixture

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that Anthony Martial, Antony and Scott McTominay are unlikely to be available for the club’s upcoming Europa League play-off tie against Barcelona next week.

The trio have been ruled out of Sunday’s reverse fixture with Leeds United in the Premier League and Ten Hag believes they will also miss out on the Barcelona tie.

While Aaron Wan-Bissaka could potentially return from illness at Elland Road, Casemiro is still suspended, Christian Eriksen is out until late April with an ankle injury and Donny van de Beek is ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Ten Hag suggested that while fatigue due to playing through a World Cup season may be an underlying factor, it was not necessarily responsible for Eriksen or Martial’s issues specifically.
