Scottish football legend describes Aribo good enough for Premier League

Former striker of Scottish giants, Celtic, Frank McAvennie has expressed confidence that Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo good enough for the English Premier League.

This is amidst reports that two English sides namely Crystal Palace and Everton have been monitoring the 25-year old player but it remains unclear if Glasgow Rangers will let him go during the January transfer window.

McAvennie while speaking to football insider stated that the Super Eagles playmaker has all it takes to be successful in the Premier League.

“I think he’s gone up a level this season. He seems to be a vital player for Rangers now. He’s very versatile and that would serve him well in the Premier League.”

The former Scotland coach further said he believes Rangers will not be able to stand in the way of Aribo when an offer comes.

“I have said this for years, if an offer from the Premier League comes in, you take it. It doesn’t matter who it is, it changes your life with money. No disrespect to Rangers, that’s just the way it is” McAvennie said.

The Nigerian international has less than two year left on his current deal with the Gers and he’s valued in the region of ten million pounds.
