Samuel Adegbenro netted his fifteenth goal of the 2021/2022 Swedish Allvenskan campaign to help his Norrkoping side avoid a defeat against Mjallby AIF on Thursday.

The Nigerian striker who have scored an impressive fourteen league goals prior to Thursday, bagged Norrkoping’s first goal against Mjallby AIF after a drab first forty-five.

Norrkoping were in search for a win after two successive losses in the league and showed great intent when drew the first blood after Samuel Adegbenro produced a moment of magic to acrobatically turn home an Ishaq Abdulrazak cross for 1-0 with just five minutes into the second half.

The 25-year-old was then substituted following an injury which didn’t seem too serious but the hosts doubled their lead almost immediately as Christoffer Nyman converted to make it 2-0.

The visitors saved their best for the latter part of the game and got their first goal barely five minutes after Norrkoping’s second goal via the boots of Joel Nilsson, while Swedish youngster, Amin Sarr stealing a point deep into stoppage time to make it 2-2.

Adegbenro stays atop the goalscorers chart with fifteen goals, with Victor Edvardsen trailing the Nigerian sensation by two goals on the second spot.
