Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has weighed into Mohamed Salah’s contract situation at Liverpool.
Inter and Liverpool have been drawn to face-off in the Champions League round of 16.
Inzaghi found himself discussing the Liverpool player in September and advised him to be led by his heart during contract talks.
“Mohamed Salah is a great player,” the Inter boss told Al Ain Sports. “My advice to him is to think with his heart before taking the next step, and to choose the best for himself.”
Inzaghi is no stranger to Salah’s quality having encountered him in the Derby della Capitale, which is contested between bitter rivals Lazio and Roma.
“For me, Salah is one of the best players in the world,” the 45-year-old added.
“I watched him closely when I was in my early days as a coach for Lazio, and he was a player at Roma.”
