Rivers United were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup following a 1-0 defeat to EgyptIan club Al Masry at the Borg El Arab Stadium on Sunday.
The two legged tie ended 2-2 on aggregate but Al Masry scale through to the group stages on away goals rule.
Rivers United won the first leg last weekend 2-1 in Aba.

Al Masry took the lead on 12 minutes and protected their advantage for the entire duration of the game.
Earlier in the day, Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, Enyimba defeated Libya’s Al Ittihad 2-0 in Aba.
CAF are yet to rule on the first leg match which was postponed due to travel problems to Tunisia encountered by Enyimba.
