Real Madrid secure loan deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Arrizabalaga

Real Madrid and Chelsea have agreed on a loan deal for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The 28-year-old will join Real Madrid as a temporary replacement for Thibaut Courtois, who is sidelined with a torn ACL.

Arrizabalaga, who joined Chelsea in 2018 for a record fee, fell out of favour at the London club.

While Bayern Munich reportedly showed interest in him, Real Madrid secured the deal.

Courtois’ injury is a significant setback for Real Madrid, as he played a crucial role in their recent Champions League victory.

Prior to the loan deal, Real Madrid had only one other goalkeeper in their squad.
