Nigeria AFCON 2021 Opponent Sudan Unveil Provisional Squad

Sudan have unveiled a provisional 36-man squad for the
the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Newly appointed head coach of the side Burhan Tia included just one foreign based player in the squad.

The player, Athar Attahir, a defender plays for Egyptain Premier League club Smouha Al-Masry.

Tia will lead the team in Cameroon, after the dismissal of Frechman Hubert Velud,
following Sudan’s exit from the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 currently being held in Qatar.

Sudan will compete in Group D along with African powerhouses Nigeria and Egypt. Guinea Bissau are the other team in the group

The Falcons of Jediane will start their campaign against Guinea-Bissau on January 11, before facing Nigeria on January 15, and concluding its group matches against neighboring Egypt on January 19.
