Newcastle United have dealt Arsenal and Manchester United a huge blow as they are preparing a “significant” bid for Victor Osimhen this summer.
The Nigerian international has been linked with both Premier League sides as they search for a solution to their striker dilemmas.
Aside from Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus whose announcement date has been set for his arrival at the Emirates, Osimhen is one of the other players rumoured to be of interest to the Gunners, having impressed in the Serie A.
Though Jesus’ arrival doesn’t rule out further striker signings.
However, should they want to sign the Napoli forward, they may have been dealt a huge blow.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Newcastle are preparing a “significant sum” to bid for Osimhen.
Given the money available to the Magpies, it could present a problem for Arsenal to be able to compete for his signature.
However, with Jesus’ deal seemingly close, the need for another striker may have diminished.
