Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr says he has absolutely done well with the team going by his record since he took over in 2016.

The German tactician has come under fire due to the team’s poor performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where Nigeria struggled to

top Group C that consists teams like Liberia, Cape Verde, and the Central African Republic.

However, since taking over as Super Eagles coach in 2016, Rohr has guided the team through two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and two World

Cup qualifiers, including the current one, and he argued that his record stacks up well.

“We played eight qualifiers including two for Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the remaining six for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.” Rohr was quoted on NationSport.

“Altogether, we had six victories, one draw and one defeat. But don’t forget we won all the four away games. So sometimes I don’t understand ”.
