Moses Simon’s late strike earns Nantes a dramatic comeback win against Lens

Moses Simon strikes late to help his Nantes side secure a massive comeback win again Lens in the matchday eighteen of the 2021/2022 French Ligue1 season on Friday.

It was his second goal in the French topflight this season and it did come at a very crucial time to deliver Nantes’ seventh league win of the season.

Lens, who prior to the match on Friday are on a winless streak of four games, scored two early goals through David Costa (7th minute) and Arnaud Kalimuendo-Muinga (15th minute).

Nantes drew level with a brace from Randal Kolo Muani on 49th and 57th minutes, and this changed the complexion of the game totally.

Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon, was invited into the game in the 70th minute and he blasted a thunderous shot into the top corner at the die minutes of the game to give Les Canaries a deserved and dramatic comeback victory.

Nantes move up to 10th position on 25 points in the league standing courtesy of the win.
