Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo drove his £160,000 Audi RSQ8 when police stopped him for suspected driving without a valid licence. The incident occurred last Friday near the club’s Cobham training ground, according to The Sun.
Surrey Police confirmed they stopped him on Fairmile Lane in Cobham. “Officers stopped a man in his 20s from Cobham on Friday 4 April and found him driving without a licence,” they said.
The 21-year-old Ecuadorian international could face penalties, including a fine or criminal prosecution, if he violated UK driving laws. Driving without a valid licence can lead to six penalty points and a fine of up to £1,000.
Chelsea, who signed Caicedo in 2023 for a British record fee of £115 million, did not comment on the incident, calling it a “personal matter.” Caicedo’s agent, Manuel Sierra Camacho, also declined to comment.
At the time of the stop, Caicedo joined his Chelsea teammates in Poland for their UEFA Conference League match against Legia Warsaw.
