It is understood the Premier League boss doesn’t want the added drama of a transfer saga to distract his group.
It’s been widely covered in the media that Chelsea could be about to sign the left-back.
According to Fabrizio Romano claims a £52.5million deal has been sorted between the clubs ahead of an imminent transfer to Stamford Bridge.
However, Brighton did release a statement last night to insist no deal has been agreed to sell Cucurella.
It feels like all the signs are pointing towards Cucurella going through the exit doors at the AMEX Stadium.
