LaLiga: Xavi Hernandez Claims He Come Prepared In Front Of Camp Nou Fans

Barcelona’s newly appointed manager Xavi Hernandez boasted he come prepared in front of thousands Camp Nou fans on Monday.

After paying for his release clause with the Qatari club, he will replace the sacked Ronald Koeman who had a torrid time in the dugout as Barcelona boss.

The former Al-Sadd boss signed his contract which will runs until 2024, on the pitch alongside club’s President Joan Laporta as the Blaugrana set out to rebuild the team.

Laporta during Xavi’s unveiling at the Camp Nou, “It’s an historical day for Barcelona, welcome Xavi”. The new boss also talks to the fans during his unveiling “Thank you all, I don’t want to get emotional but I am, I feel goosebumps”.

“This is the biggest club in the world and I’m going to work hard to reach your expectations. Barcelona can’t accept a draw or a defeat we have to win all the games”.

“I come prepared my DNA didn’t change, we need to take charge, have the ball, create opportunities, be intense”

The Blaugrana next game is a derby at home to city rival Espanyol after the international break, as the struggling Barcelona would hope to get their season back on track under a new gaffer who knows the team pretty well.

Barcelona are placed in ninth on the table 11 points adrift of league leader Real Sociedad and 10 behind arch rival Real Madrid who picked maximum point against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.
