Joshua Kimmich To Get Covid Vaccine After Lung Problem

Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich says he regrets not been vaccinated after suffering a lung problem, and his ready to be vaccinated.

The German tested positive last month and will not play again until the new year before he can play competitive football for Die Roten.

While the 26 year old is still recuperating from his lung problem, his also yet to return to full training having suffered the effects of Covid-19.

While speaking with German channel ZDF: “Kimmich said it was difficult for me to deal with my fears and concerns, that’s why I was undecided for so long.”

However, the utility player said his now ready to get vaccinated and as such Germany’s education and research minister Bettina Stark Watzinger praises the midfielder for the good decision.

“As a professional footballer and national player, he is a role model for many people. More vaccinations are the way out of the pandemic.” Said Bettina Stark Watzinger.

Kimmich who missed Bayern Munich’s tie against Augsburg, Arminia Bielefeld, Borussia Dortmund, Dynamo Kiev, and Barcelona will hope to come back strong and ready next year for Die Roten.
