Jerome Akor, a Nigerian forward, is set to finalize his transfer to Montpellier, a Ligue 1 club, this week.
Reports suggest that Akor’s current club, Lillestrom, and Montpellier have agreed on a transfer fee of €4m for the talented striker.
Montpellier pursued Akor as a replacement for Stephy Mavdidi, who recently moved to Leicester City.
Akor, who is only 23 years old, has been in exceptional form this season, leading the goal-scoring charts in Norway with 15 goals and three assists in 15 games.
He joined Lillestrom from Sogndal last year and has already made a significant impact, scoring 23 goals in 37 appearances for the club.
