The football world is grieving the sudden death of Sylla Moustapha, a 21-year-old Ivorian left-back who collapsed during a game between Racing Club d’Abidjan and SOL FC in Cote d’Ivoire.
Moustapha’s promising career was cut short, leaving the entire community in shock and sadness.
President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr Patrice Motsepe, expressed his condolences to Moustapha’s family, as well as to the Ivorian Football Federation and Racing Club d’Abidjan.
The loss of such a talented young player has left everyone reflecting on what might have been.
During this difficult time, CAF has pledged to support Moustapha’s family in any way possible.
