Frank Onyeka Trilled With Eagles Invitation For AFCON

Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has expressed his delight over his Super Eagles Invitation for the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The biennial tournament in Cameroon would be his first major competition he would be featuring for Nigeria, after he was included in 28 man squad by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The former FC Midtjylland star says he is excited than ever to represent Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, with the likes of Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Joe Aribo who ply their trade in UK.

Speaking after Brentford’s loss to City in the Premier League on Wednesday: “Yes, it is my first time you know, representing my country in the Africa Cup of Nations so I’m looking forward to it, and I’m excited to represent my country.”

Right now Onyeka’s attention is focused on Brentford’s next Premier League game against Aston Villa on January 2, before travelling down to Nigeria to team up with the Eagles in camp.

Onyeka has featured in sixteen of eighteen games for Brentford in their maiden Premier League campaign, starting ten out of the eighteen games.
