Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has expressed his happiness over the fitness level of Wilfred Ndidi and Samuel Chukwueze ahead of an all important FIFA World Cup Qualifiers tie against Liberia on Saturday.

It will be recalled that the pair of Ndidi and Chukwueze were missing in action during the international break in October, as well as Other Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi.

The trio all missed the double-header against Central African Republic. Meanwhile, Ndidi has recovered in time and is available for selection in Saturday’s clash against Liberia in Morocco, which will be his second appearance in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Also, Alex Iwobi and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze, are also in contention to feature for the Super Eagles against the Lone Stars after recovering from injuries.

Rohr, speaking at a press conference on Thursday declared Ndidi as “fully fit” ahead of Saturday’s clash.

“All these injured players who couldn’t come in the last matches are here, Ndidi is here, Iwobi is back, Chukwueze is here, Sanusi is back so I think now we have a squad which is able to go for a victory,”

“He (Ndidi) is fully fit, he made two training sessions already and all the players who didn’t have so much game time like Chukwueze, he was out for a long time, he added.

“The important players will be fit and everything should be okay.” Rohr said at Thursday’s pre-match press conference.
