EPL: Aribo, Onuachu’s Southampton Relegated After Home Loss To Fulham

Updated

Southampton have been officially relegated from the English Premier League following a 2-0 defeat to Fulham at the St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.

The defeat ended the Saints 10-year stay in the English top-flight.

Carlos Vinicius and Aleksandr Mitrovic scored both goals for the visitors.

Forward Paul Onuachu was named in the starting line-up against the Cottagers, while Joe Aribo was benched for 90 minutes.

Onuachu joined Southampton in January and is expected to move elsewhere, with a relegation clause reportedly inserted in his contract.

His compatriot Aribo moved to the South Coast club from Scottish Premiership giants, Glasgow Rangers last summer.
